Day by Day Detailed itinerary

Day 1:
At 5 am in the morning you will be transferred from Kigali to Kayonza province where Akagera National Park is located on a drive that takes about 2 hours. Akagera national park is majorly a Savannah Park comprising of the Big 5 including Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffalos, Hippopotamus and other wildlife.
Upon reaching the park, the first safari activity unfolds – a 9am morning game drive which lasts about 4 to 5 hours. Encounter herds of elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes as well as lions and leopards as they become active.
After the morning game drive, experience a 1-hour boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will observe hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species.
You will then have your lunch at Akagera game lodge or a picnic lunch in case you packed then go for the evening game drive as you exit the park.
You will then be transferred back to Kigali and dropped off at your preferred location.

Getting There

The trip will start from Kigali International Airport to Akagera National Park and you will be dropped off at Kigali International Airport.
