5 Days Akagera And Gorillas

Day 1: Transfer To Akagera And An Evening Game Drive

On this start date, a professional tour guide from ADVENTURE IN THE WILD SAFARIS will pick you up from either the airport or your hotel and after receiving you he will brief you about your 5 days akagera and gorilla safari in Rwanda and pass through the itinerary with him.

He will then drive you to akagera national park where you will have your lunch at the lodge and in the evening you will go for an evening game drive and on a lucky day, you will see zebras, giraffes, impalas, lions, elephants, buffalos and, many more not leaving out the different birds as the park is a home of 500 bird species.

After the game drive, you will get back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat On Lake Ihema

After you have breakfast the tour guide will take you for the morning game drive taking you through the savannah grasslands looking for the lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and much more wildlife. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.

During the evening the tour guide will then take you for the boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will get a chance to see the different aquatic species and the water-breeding birds.

Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer To Volcanoes National Park

After your breakfast, the guide will make sure all your staff is put in the vehicle and then start your journey to volcanoes national park enjoying the different sceneries on your way which ranges from the hills, coffee plantations, and the vegetation cover.

Having enjoyed your enroute lunch, you will get your dinner and overnight stay getting ready for the gorilla trekking the next day.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking And Evening Cultural Encounter

Leaving the lodge very early in the morning with your packed breakfast, the tour guide will drive you to the park headquarters where you will be briefed before the gorilla trekking, and then hereafter you be given a group of trackers and rangers to take you through the process.

After the trekking, you will be driven back to the lodge for lunch and then in the evening, you will go for a cultural encounter at the ibyiwacu cultural village where you will get to know the Kinyarwanda tradition and enjoy their cultural songs and dances.

Get back to your crib for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure

This is the last day of your 5-day akagera and gorilla safari to Rwanda and it starts with a relaxed breakfast and then drives back to Kigali where you will get your lunch and then the guide will take you to the airport.
