Day 5: Cross The Border Into Rwanda, Volcanoes
You will enter Volcanoes National Park, which is close to the border, and visit the renowned Dian Fossey’s final resting place. A visit to her grave is in order; take a knee. That petite lady, with a tremendous heart, had the fortitude to protect the mountain gorillas from savages and to tell the world about the treasure we had buried deep in our African forest.
Once you’ve experienced that poignant moment, check into the lodge, enjoy dinner, and spend the evening relaxing. We’ll be going on our trip through Africa again tomorrow.
