This 4 Days safari gives you a great safari experience of a life time adventure, during this trip, you will be visiting the gorillas in their Natural habitat. This is one of the biggest safari activities in Africa: Gorilla trekking. You will also participate in a boat cruise in lake Burera, visit the genocide museum site in Kigali as well as a cultural visit in Musanze. Its once in a life time safari experience to be in the presence of these gentle giants.

Day 1: Pick up at airport or hotel, transfer to Volcanoes
Our Gorilla Safaris Guide will pick you up from your hotel or from Kigali International Airport for your transfer to Volcanoes National Park in the Musanze province. Volcanoes national park is home to over 360 mountain gorillas with 7 habituated groups available for visitors to trek. You will check-in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Twin lakes or Musanze caves
In the morning after your breakfast, you will be transferred to volcanoes national park headquarters for a briefing by the park warden before beginning your trek. The trek will take about 4 to 6 hours and you will embark on your gorilla trekking adventure, guided by experienced trackers and park rangers. Once you find the gorillas you are allowed up to an hour observing and non-flash photographing a gorilla family in their natural habitat After the trek you will go back to the hotel for lunch and then go for optional visit to either the twin lakes or Musanze caves. After this you will go back to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Iby’Iwacu or visit Dian Fossey
On day 3 you will wake up early and have your breakfast and go for another gorilla trek but this time it will be another gorilla family. This trek will also take 4 to 6 hours then you will go for lunch at your hotel and in the afternoon, you can choose to go for an optional visit to the Dian Fossey tomb or Iby’Iwacu cultural village. You will then go back to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali for Kigali city tour and departure
On the final day you will wake up early and have your breakfast, after which you will be transferred to Kigali for a city tour where you will have the opportunity to visit Kigali Genocide Memorial and Caplaki Crafts Village. After the city tour you will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location as the tour comes to a close.
